IDs & Visitations

For those Funeral Homes that opt to include this offering online, we provide your customers with the ability to arrange and pay for an ID or Visitation at your designated Funeral Home location.

ID

Time: No more than 15 minutes

In some states, such as PA, ID must occur within 24 hours of death. After 24 hours, embalming of the decedent must occur.

Number of Attendees: 3 or fewer

Funeral Home staff will prepare the decedent for respectful presentation, removing all visible tubes and other devices. Decedent will be placed on a viewing platform and covered in a sheet from the neck down, with the face visible to attendees. Attendance by children under 13 is discouraged.

Suggested Retail Price: $495 ($400 to Funeral Home, $95 to Styx Logistics)

Visitation

Time: Not more than 60 minutes

Number of Attendees: 5 or fewer

Due to the length of the event, embalming of the decedent is required.

Funeral Home staff will embalm and prepare the decedent for respectful presentation, removing all visible tubes and other devices. Decedent will be placed on a viewing platform and covered in a sheet from the neck down, with the face visible to attendees. Attendance by children under 13 is discouraged.

Suggested Visitation & Embalming Price: $1,595 ($1,195 to Funeral Home, $400 to Styx Logistics)

Funeral Home Percentage of Profits on IDs/Visitation Sales: 75% – 80%
